The deadlines to register for the James Brown Toy Giveaway are now.
The event coordinated by the James Brown Family Foundation will be conducted as a drive-thru for the second year, and will take place from 8-10 a.m. Dec. 18 in the James Brown Arena parking lot. It was changed to a drive-thru giveaway due to COVID-19.
Elif Crawford, the event coordinator said that the 2020 event served 1,254 children, twice as many than the previous years.
To be eligible for the giveaway, you will need to register. Register all children between the ages 1 and 10 by their guardians or parents.
Online and in person registrations are both possible. In-person registration will be 9-11 a.m. Nov. 13 and Nov. 20 at James Brown Arena with ID and Social Security cards. You must cover your face because the building requires it.
Online registration will be possible Nov. 5 – 5. www.jamesbrownfamilyfdn.org/toy2021. The link will also go live that day. Online registrations must present ID and Social Security card at pickup.
